I had this photo accepted and on display during the recent Tenth Annual Lone Tree Photographic Art Show and Sale sponsored by the Lone Tree Photography Club. Being accepted in a juried show felt good, and I learned a lot seeing my work next to others. Quality matting and framing make a huge difference. These are things within my control. Display location also is crucial. Where my photo hung (about waist level), the lighting was poor, and the piece felt muted. Those kinds of things are out of a person’s control. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the learning experience I gained from this. I’ll make improvements when I next submit for a show.
